Illegal to be Homeless - an independent local documentary
produced/ directed by Margaret Hastings, is now complete and features
"Motherless Child" with Soli Hughes on guitar from the
Karen Lyu & Global Jazz Live CD, interviews with Mayor R.T.
Rybak & City Council members, and also a great song by David

to Be Homeless - "Motherless Child" from the Karen
Lyu & Global Jazz Live CD was asked to be on the soundtrack
of an independent Twin Cities documentary on homelessness. (Thanks
to Lydia Howell of KFAI!)
Future Feature Film - Karen Lyu & Global Jazz asked to perform
for a New York jazz club scene in a feature film planned to be set
in Paris, Berlin and New York. Written by Pulitzer-prize finalist
and Emmy Award-winning author
Susan Griffin and mercury-poisoning survivor Mary Puff. A personal
look at the lives of 3 people throughout history who have struggled
with mercury poisoning. Grammy-nominated innovators Kronos
Quartet and George Lucas's animation studio will also be featured!
